I had just completed reading Patti Smith’s book – Just Kids. It was a beautifully written book and i could not let it go.  The story begins as a love story and ends as an elegy. It describes her life in the 60s and 70s. Patti Smith came from a humble family background with no money and had to struggle  through her early adulthood looking for jobs and a decent place to stay. At times, she was even hungry. The book also describes her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe, their prelude to fame. I hope you get a chance to read this book and you will understand why, i’m smitten with her right now. xxx
